Important Dates

Please note the following important dates & deadlines about your current systems.

June 22 – 9:00 AM ABTX person-to-person payment system (Pay Someone) will be
July 1 AccessBank Texas officially merges into Texas Regional Bank.
July 12 – 3:30 PM Last day to add external account transfers to ABTX system.
July 15 – 3:30 PM ABTX online and mobile banking systems will be deactivated.
July 15 – 6:00 PM Account conversion begins.
July 16 – July 18 – 8:00 AM ABTX ITMs and ATMs will not be available to process transactions.
July 18 – 8:00 AM Your account conversion is complete. You may begin logging into online banking, mobile banking, and mobile deposit services.

Online Banking

If you are an AccessBank Texas online banking user, please note that the deadline to schedule new transfers in your AccessBank Texas online banking system is 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022. After 3:30 p.m., online banking will no longer be available. We suggest that you print or download any information within online banking that you would like to retain, i.e. statements, check images, or established bill payments, before Friday, July 15, 2022.

Online Banking Features

Texas Regional Bank online banking provides secure online access to your account information anytime 24/7 at texasregionalbank.com.

With online banking, you can:

  • Check account balances
  • Verify transactions, deposits, and withdrawals
  • View current and past account statements
  • View processed check images for the current statement cycle
  • Transfer funds between accounts
  • Request stop payments
  • Download transaction history into Quicken® or Quickbooks®

Existing ABTX Online Banking Users

Step 1: Go to texasregionalbank.com. Click Log In.
Step 2: Enter your existing AccessBank’s username along with the last six digits of your social security number as the password. Click Sign In.
Step 3: Review the Terms and Conditions. Click the I agree button to continue.
Step 4: The system will prompt you to change your password. Password requirements will be listed for your convenience.
Step 5: You may receive a security challenge. Click Call phone.
Step 6: Complete the ‘Set up phone numbers’ section. Click Continue.
Step 7: Select your three challenge questions and answers. Click Continue.
Step 8: Return to the ‘Home’ screen where a listing of your account will appear.

First Time Enrolling in Online Banking

If you currently do not have online banking and would like to sign up, please follow these steps on or after Monday, July 18, 2022.

Step 1: Go to texasregionalbank.com. Click Log In. Click Enroll.
Step 2: Complete the enrollment form. During the enrollment process, please do not click on the back arrow button. All fields are required. Click Enroll.
Step 3: Review the Terms and Conditions. Click the I agree button to continue.
Step 4: Create your permanent username as well as a new password. Confirm your new password. Click Continue.
Step 5: You may receive a Security Challenge. Click on Call phone.
Step 6: Complete the ‘Set up phone numbers’ section. Click Continue.
Step 7: Select your three security questions and answers.
Step 8: You will be prompted to enroll in mobile banking. You may choose to enroll, ask me later, or decline. If you choose Enroll, complete the steps below to enroll in mobile banking.

Texas Regional Bank offers Express Web Connect and Web Connect for Quicken® and Quickbooks® Online users. Quickbooks® users utilizing Direct Connect will need to export their history from online banking and import it into Quickbooks®. If you have any questions or would like to enroll in online banking, please visit any banking center.

Bank mobile banking app free from the App Store or Google Play on or after Monday, July 18, 2022.

Mobile Banking Features

Accessing your account information and making transactions is easier and more secure than ever with Texas Regional Bank mobile banking. From your mobile device or tablet, you can quickly:

  • View account balances and transaction history
  • Transfer funds between your Texas Regional accounts
  • Pay your bills using Bill Pay
  • Locate an ATM or Texas Regional Banking Center
  • Deposit checks with Mobile Deposit (if enrolled for the service)

Enroll in Mobile Banking

You may begin to enroll in Texas Regional Bank online banking on or after Monday, July 18, 2022. Mobile banking enrollment can be completed during your online banking enrollment. If you completed your online banking enrollment but did not enroll in mobile banking, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Download the Texas Regional Bank app from your app store. Select the white icon with the bronze star.
Step 2: Login to the app using your established online banking credentials.
Step 3: If you are unable to login to the app, please follow the mobile enrollment steps listed below:

  • Login to your online banking. Select Mobile Banking in the ‘Profile’ section.
  • Accept the terms and conditions box. Click Continue.
  • Enter your phone number in the download link box and select text message option. A download link will be sent to your cellphone. Select Return to Select Services.
  • Select your time zone, accounts to view, and change nicknames if applicable. Click Continue.
  • Enter your mobile phone number to receive an activation code. Click Continue.
  • Enter the activation code sent to your cell phone. If you do not receive a text message, your service may not allow premium text messages. Contact your service provider to activate premium text messaging.
  • Your enrollment for mobile banking is complete. You may exit the mobile menu.


Texas Regional Bank customers can deposit checks from their phones through the mobile banking app. Mobile Deposit uses the camera on your mobile device to capture pictures of the front and back of your check so you can make a deposit anytime, anywhere. Deposit limits may apply.


Mobile Bill Pay allows you to access your Bill Pay account via the Texas Regional Bank mobile banking app to submit bill payments, Person-to-Person (P2P) transfers, and external transfers on-the-go from your mobile device or tablet. For your security, you must be enrolled in Bill Pay to access Mobile Bill Pay. Payees must be established in Bill Pay within online banking before they will be viewable in Mobile Bill Pay.

The conversion will take place Friday, July 15, 2022 at 6 p.m. - Monday, July 18, 2022 at 8 a.m.

Your current ABTX debit card will continue to work with no service interruption. A replacement card will be sent to you prior to your card’s expiration date. If you would like to replace your current debit card after conversion, please visit your local banking center where they can instantly provide a new card to you.

For your protection, most international transactions are restricted. If you plan to travel abroad or make purchases outside of the United States and you are a TRB mobile banking user, you can login to the mobile app and setup two travel plans on the countries you will be traveling to or making a purchase from. If you are not a mobile banking user, you can visit your local banking center or contact Customer Care for assistance at 800-580-6536.

No. ATMs and ITMs will not be functional during conversion weekend.

You may continue to use your ABTX checks until your current supply runs out. Any outstanding ABTX checks will be processed against your TRB checking accounts. After the conversion, your existing AccessBank Texas checks will continue to work as usual. When you’re ready to order checks on or after Monday, July 18, 2022, please contact your local banking center. Please use the Texas Regional Bank routing number 1149-1733-5 with any new check orders.

The deadline to replace AccessBank Texas branded checks will be Monday, July 31, 2023.

If you have a safe deposit box at a former AccessBank Texas banking center, your annual rent will change to the following on your next anniversary date:

Box Size:

  • 3 x 10 - $45 Annual Fee
  • 5 x 10 - $85 Annual Fee
  • 10 x 10 - $100 Annual Fee

The new routing/transit number will be 114917335. If you receive wire transfers, please let the originator know to begin using this number as of Monday, July 18, 2022.

It is not necessary to immediately update your routing number for direct deposits or recurring ACH transactions; however, we encourage you to update this information with the transaction originator at your earliest convenience. Texas Regional Bank will post your transaction and may notify the originator of the routing number change for future transactions. The originator may contact you to approve any changes being made to your ACH transaction.

Your current recurring debit card payments will continue to be processed without interruptions.

If you’ve established scheduled funds transfers between accounts for overdraft protection, safe deposit box payments, or interest payment transfers, your transfers will be seamlessly transitioned during the conversion process. Any transfers that include principal and interest for loan payments will NOT convert and will need to be rescheduled on the TRB system on or after Monday, July 18, 2022.

Your loan account number will remain the same.

No. Texas Regional Bank will honor the rate and terms on existing CDs you opened with ABTX until it matures.

ABTX bill payments system will be retired effective 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022. Deadline to submit any bill payments is 3:30p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022. As of Monday, July 18, 2022 you will be able to login to Texas Regional Bank’s online banking system. Your bill payment transactions will be available for review.

After Monday, July 18, 2022, it’s an easy way to access your account information anytime. Just dial 866-972-5430 from any phone to:

  • Check your current account balances
  • Review posted transactions, deposits, and withdrawals
  • Transfer funds between accounts
  • Location Directory

The first time you dial into Telebank, you will need to enter the last four digits of your social security number or Tax ID number to verify your identity. Then, as an added layer of security, you will need to create a new Personal Identification Number (PIN) to access your account information. Your PIN must be six digits or less in length.

If you have any questions about Telebank or if you need assistance, please don’t hesitate to press zero (0) to be transferred to a customer service  representative during regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Your current online banking username will remain the same. However, during your first login, you will use the temporary password assigned and be prompted to change it immediately. See page 6 of the conversion guide for step-by-step instructions.

After conversion, you’ll begin to receive billing statements from Texas Regional Bank for your loan or line of credit. Please mark
your loan payments per the billing statements. If you established automatic payments for your loan, those will be automatically
transferred to Texas Regional Bank.
If you have any questions about your loan, please contact your loan officer directly or visit any Texas Regional Bank banking center.

If you currently receive your monthly account statements via paper, you’ll continue to receive your statements at the mailing address on your account.

If you are currently enrolled in e-statements, you will receive your final statement from ABTX via paper, but you will continue to receive e-statements after the conversion. We recommend that you print or download any AccessBank statements that you may want to retain for your records by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022. If you need additional assistance with statements generated prior to Monday, July 18, please call 940-382-3962.

You will receive a final statement from ABTX on paper shortly after your account transfers to TRB. For checking, savings, and money market accounts, the final statement date will be Friday, July 15, 2022. Any applicable interest will be paid at that time. If your account earns interest, interest accrued after Sunday, July 17, 2022 will be paid by TRB and reflected on your first TRB statement.

FDIC insurance protects all AccessBank Texas deposit accounts to the maximum permitted by law. AccessBank Texas accounts will be separately insured from any Texas Regional Bank accounts for six months after Friday, July 1, 2022, when AccessBank will merge into Texas Regional Bank. Certificates of deposit (CD) will maintain separate insurance for six months or until the next maturity date, whichever is later. CDs renewed during the six-month period with the same terms as the original CD will maintain separate insurance until the renewed CD’s maturity date.
