All For One and One For All

Texas Regional Bank has a core value of supporting our community organizations. We have a volunteer program to give our team members the opportunity to get involved and donate their time and energy to local causes.
This past weekend, Texas Regional Bank volunteers supported the 10th Annual Smokin’ on the Rio BBQ Cook-off on Saturday, February 23rd.  With close to 6,500 attendees, a record breaking number for this event, and 160 teams  a little over $75,000 in proceeds were raised in one day.
The funds raised are used to support youth agricultural projects in the Rio Grande Valley. The profits generated from the event are used to purchase student projects at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show’s Sale of Champions. Smokin’ on the Rio wants to ensure that all students participating in the RGV Livestock Show auction receive a fair return on their livestock investment, which in turn will give them the desire to participate again and invite their friends to join them.
Brent Baldree, Texas Regional Bank Chief Lending Officer, is a Smokin’ on the Rio board member and when he needed volunteers he got them!  Twenty-five TRB team members volunteered to support Brent and this worthy event.  The following individuals exemplified Texas Regional Bank’s commitment to serving our community.
