John Tippit IV Named Executive Vice President over Divisions at TRB

Texas Regional Bank (TRB) has promoted John Tippit IV to Executive Vice President over Divisions. Mr. Tippit will oversee multiple divisions in the newly created role, including Trust, Wealth Management, Mortgage, Capital Markets, and Insurance.

Mr. Tippit joined TRB in 2016 as an Investment Advisor for the bank’s Wealth Management division. He was promoted to Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor in 2019 and, most recently, to Senior Vice President in 2022. During his time with Wealth Management, Mr. Tippit had an impact by strengthening the division’s investment philosophy, portfolio management, and internal processes. In 2020, Mr. Tippit helped lead the Wealth Management Division’s conversion to a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). Since his time in the Wealth Management Division, the team’s assets under management increased by 942%.

Mr. Tippit holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. He has twelve years of banking experience, which has equipped him with a strong foundation in financial principles and strategies. He has spent the last six years at TRB, where he has demonstrated his expertise in various organizational roles.
